TomSyn continuously reviews published literature, trial registries, and public chemical records related to schizophrenia research. It distills discrete cited facts, scores a conservative evidence rubric, and refuses a 95% “cure claim” unless hard gates are met. That refusal is a product rule, not a clinical prognosis.
The intended audience is adults seeking an honest map of a scientific field. It is not for assigning a diagnosis, a biotype, a risk score, or a drug to any named person.
This engine is meant to be run with integrity: tell the truth about what the vault holds, and stay silent where it does not. The person living with this illness is not a percentage, not a token, and not a prize. False hope is a kind of theft. Excellence here means a smaller, kinder, more accurate file — and a lock that does not open early. Truth without love is cruelty; love without truth is deception. One paper is not two witnesses. A recruiting record must not leaven the lump.
Literature APIs, registries, and chemical databases contain errors, delays, retractions, and incomplete records. TomSyn may mis-classify a paper, miss a trial, strip context, or mint an atom that later proves wrong. Scores use diminishing returns and caps by design; they are not probabilities of recovery for any person.

If liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use TomSyn in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero) or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paul W. Bishop, III and GrokBuild from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the service, your reliance on it as medical advice, or your violation of these terms.
You may not: attempt to extract secrets or API keys; overload or scrape the service beyond ordinary use; upload protected health information or any other person’s medical record; use TomSyn to target, rank, or deny care to an individual; present a TomSyn brief as a clinical certificate; or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.
Queries are allowlisted. Free-text clinical questions about a named person are not accepted.

Third-party paper titles, abstracts, trial records, and chemical properties remain the property of their publishers, investigators, and databases. TomSyn does not claim those works.
When configured, TomSyn may query Consensus, Europe PMC, ClinicalTrials.gov, and PubChem. Those services have their own terms. A citation in an atom is a pointer, not a license to republish the full paper. Registry status (including RECRUITING) is not a result. Computed chemical properties are not measured clinical facts.
TomSyn is built not to want you as a patient record. Do not enter names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, genetic results, or any other information that could identify a person in care.
The engine stores research artifacts (papers, rounds, atoms, caches, quota state) on the server disk for continuity of the loop. Your browser may keep a local copy in IndexedDB and a small localStorage backup so the screen can paint after a refresh. That copy is research state, not a health record.
We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles. Server logs may include ordinary technical metadata (time, coarse IP for rate limits). Rate-limit counters are in-memory and expire.
If a key for a literature API is present, it lives in the server environment, not in the page you download.
If a Postgres URL is configured (Neon or compatible), the literature vault and atoms are stored there so a publish cannot wipe the library. That database is research state, not a health record. Prefer a personal Neon project — do not use a work Google account as the store.
TomSyn is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for anyone under 18 as a health tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, stop use and clear site data.
These terms may change. The effective date below will move when they do. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the revised terms. Last updated August 14, 2026.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally lies in the state or federal courts sitting in Dallas County, Texas, except where prohibited by consumer-protection law in your place of residence.
